What are the Origins of "Surreal Estate"

Michael Leggs (former lead singer/songwriter/bassist of 1990s, Kansas-based, alternative rock band The Moving Van Goghs), composed a song titled "Surreal Estate" in 1993 and subsequently published it via Transit Gloria Music (BMI). A year later, he enlisted the services of producer/musician Paul Sebastien (TVT Records, WaxTrax! Records, Psykosonik) and recorded it at The Tracking Station in Minneapolis.

Parcel of the Collective Unconscious Anyone?

During the 1990s, SURREALestate.com gained popularity from its novelty offering of title deeds to parcels of "the collective unconscious," which culminated in an eBay auction of a "major" parcel—at a starting bid of $500,000 USD.
